Life's Too Short....

The card I've got to show you today has "Life's too short to eat one scoop" as it's sentiment.  It is a mantra by which I live, though more "square as in chocolate" than "scoop as in ice cream" to be honest!
The images and sentiment are from CC Designs Sweet Treats set, there's plenty others in the collection for me to use Ron (later-on, or is that an Aussie saying??).  Can you believe Christine is going to retire these little cuties (and quite a few other sets) at the end of March, so if you want some you're going to have to grab them soon.  Pop over to All That Scraps and check out what's going, going before it's GONE! I'll be posting some more projects using some of the other retiring sets over the month, as will the rest of the ATS Digi DT so you'll get to see some great projects using them at the ATS Blog.
The little wall the bear is sitting on is from CC Designs "Take a Seat" Sugarplums collection, and while that's not retiring it's well worth a look, it's got some really great "prop" images - I use them a lot.  Mine are digis - of course - but they do come in rubber for those who like to ink it up.
The maize coloured card is from DCWV.  I coloured everything with Copics, matted the images on bright pink card and glazed the ice cream with Royal Coat Dimensionals (equivalent to Glossy Accents)  It actually shows in this photo!  For this card I resized the ice cream cone in the smaller squares, and used one in the inside of the card too. The light strip inside the card says "oh so sweet" all over it and is a scrap, the dark pink patterned strip is a scrap too - very frugal of me!
Such a simple card, primarily because I thought the style suited the image, and also because I want to enter in Less is More's challenge which has the theme "Three Squares".
I'll also enter the ABC Challenge for this week with "Pink" as it's theme, Whoopsi Daisy has Cute and Cupcake Inspirations has this photo as inspiration, there's something innocent and fun about these little cuppies: I think my card reflects the sort of mood of these cupcakes - if in fact cupcakes have a mood, well you know what I mean!!
Well that's about it for this post; did you see the card I posted earlier in the day?  Go here and have a look, she's a Fairy nice little lady :-)
I'll be back tomorrow with another post....and maybe even a day or so after that, 'coz I've been busy with the Copics (and I just got another load in the mail that I ordered a few weeks ago, so I've just got to do my Work work quickly so I can get on to my craft work, lol.
Until next time, Happy Crafting, Dee
