Happy "PEASter"

Well, as the image for this Easter card is a couple of Peas in a pod, I thought I'd do my favourite thing and play on words, so Happy PEASter, d'ya get it, huh?  Okay, so it's not THAT clever, but cute don't you think?
The image is one of CC Designs new images out TODAY available at All That Scraps, it is part of a set called "Funny Easter Images" and I do have another card I made with a couple more from the set that I will post later today, maybe, or in the morning, Western Australian time, if I get time...............it will be here "soon", lol.

I used this sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday, but as with my Guest DT card (here) for Cute Card Thursday I missed the deadline for entering their challenge because I haven't quite nailed the timing of posts/challenges/releases... I will get better - I hope!!  Meanwhile I thought I'd credit the sketch because it's "theirs" not "mine", and it's good!
The card is a lovely Pea Green - perfect for my pair of peas!  It's from Kaisercraft, as is the patterned paper - that's from their new Bubblegum Hills collection, the new pads come slightly bigger (at 6 1/2" instead of 6") than they used to.  It's really great if you do 6" cards as you have a bit of room for trimming if you don't quite line it up correctly: Not that that has ever happened to me, ho hum!  If you make a slightly smaller card (as I usually do at 14cm, whatever that is in Old Speak) the bit you have left over is of a usable size - and if you know me, you know I NEVER throw anything usable away.
The only paper not from the Bubblegum Hills Collection is the pink behind the image panel.  I can't remember the name of it, but it is coloured one side and white on the other, then when you emboss it (as I did here with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots embossing folder) the embossing comes out distressed; you can then rub it back a bit more for more effect, as I did.
I matted everything onto green, and used my favourite thing: foam dots to really build the card up.
The image panel was cut using my Classic Oval Nestabilities, and the mat was cut using the green from Kaisercrafts Neutral mat stack with Scalloped Oval Nestabilities: I pricked the little holes in each scallop with a pin (actually with a broken pair of compasses I've had for yonks, I'd have shot my kids if I'd seen them wielding said "tool"!)
The gold lace across the card is self adhesive papery sort of "stuff".  It's so easy to use, I have it in a few colours and will definitely be using it again!
The inside of the card is pretty straightforward.  I just added a panel of white, with a strip of patterned (yes, from the same pad) paper at the top and bottom.  I added more of my sticky-paper-lace across the "joins" to blend it in better, I softened the edges (well, of everything on the front and inside actually) with a warm brown pigment ink for the same reason.
I'm entering my Two Peas in a Pod in The Pink Elephant challenge this time- the theme is "Spring", Simon Says Stamp has "Anything Goes" (yay!!), Digistamps 4 Joy has "Lacy Days", I'm sure my sticky-paper-lace qualifies! and Lexi's Creations has "Easter", and this is a "Peaster" card, which is a very close relation :-)
Thanks for visiting me and having a "gander" at my card, don't forget to come back later and check out my "other" Easter card.
Until then, Happy Crafting, Dee
