This is Santa Birgitta, coloured with Copics with some Diamond Stickles on her wings, I think she's one of my favourite Swiss Pixies...then again I say that about all the girls, lol. Charisma Cardz has "Cutesy" as its challenge theme, absolutely no doubt Birgitta belongs there!
The papers are from Kaisercraft's Christmas Carnival 6" pad...I love the pastels with a pop of colour in this collection, the red circles on this paper are foiled and the spots on the blue piece are glittery - perfect for Christmas. Bizzy Becs wants us to use Circles, circles aplenty here, so I'm entering the challenge and Sir Stampalot have "Blue and Green" so I'm entering there too... hopefully there's not too much red and pink here: it is mainly blue and green, so I should be alright.
I used the sketch from Pink Ink Sketch Challenge, I like a nice straightforward sketch like this. Originally I had a pin, per the sketch, but I replaced it with the sentiment and I didn't even realise until I posted the pic that I had put the embellishment on the opposite side... hope it still "counts". Christmas Stampin' All Year Long want us to use our favourite sketch from any blog challenge; so this is it and I'm in there too! The sentiment is a digi from Hobby Palais, cut with a Standard Circle Nestie mounted on the smallest Lacey Circle Nestie... which doesn't cut out the lacy bits, so makes quite a good solid mat; though I've indulged myself and bought a set of Scalloped Circle Nesties which I'll probably be using for this sort of application. I've got some scalloped circle punches, but you can't beat Nesties for giving a finished look to the edges.
I bought about ten metres of the Christmas ribbon because I thought it was a good size, and it was on super special, I didn't realize just how versatile it is.. so it was an extra good "buy"!
The Chipboard snowflake is a lasercut from Make It Crafty, I sacrificed about four from the sheet trying to get them out, but I have it sorted now: who knew you had to take your time, lol. It's painted with Jo Sonja paint and smothered with Stickles, the centre is a Sparklet from Kaisercraft; it doesn't matter how I try I can't capture their fabulous sparkliness :-) A couple of pearls and Tada...fini!
Once again, the inside of the card is very simply finished. I stamped and embossed the sentiment with Kaisercraft Jade pigment ink and sparkly embossing powder.Digital Tuesday has an Anything Goes challenge currently, so I'm entering there and the Gem of a Challenge is Cold and Frosty.... I'm not sure sweet little Birgitta is that cold and frosty, but I'm sure she fits the challenge :-)
That's it for today, don't forget to hop over to the blog to see some more projects with the Swiss Pixies, I'll be back tomorrow with some more, oh and a little blog hop action for Anita Be Stampin' too... so, as they say, stay tuned! Until then, Happy Crafting, Dee4Donna :-)
